Printable Matchbook Kits PDF Print

During the crop, I had several requests for a tutorial on how to create these adorable little gifts using a matchbook kit. So.....

1. Open the cover page. Orient the page so that the front cover is facing you, right side up. Scrap the cover as you desire, using any elements, pics, and titles to create a cover that you like.

2. Open the pages. Orient the page so that they are in the correct position, vertical or horizontal. Scrap each of the pages using the elements, pics, and journaling.

3. Print your pages and cover on your home printer, or have them professionally printed. If you print at home, they can be printed on photo paper or cardstock. There are several cardstocks available at paper scrapbook stores that have textures or colors that may accent your matchbook.

4. Once printed, cut out each of the pages and the cover. Before moving on, decide if you want the pages to be one-sided or back-to-back. If you want them back-to-back, you'll need to glue the pages together. Decide on the order for your pages. If you want, you can add journaling (using acid free ink) on the opposite side of the page.

5. Bend the cover in the appropriate places and place the pages inside the cover. The matchbook now needs to have binding. There are several things you can use for binding: staples, brads, eyelets, or just punch holes and thread ribbons or fibers and tie a knot.

6. Now enjoy and share your matchbook!
