I'm not sure if this will work or not, but with this group, I figured it would be fun to try!

So, the only rule in this post building "game" is to talk about chocolate.

Trivia, facts, fiction, recipes, cravings, silly concoctions - anything at all about chocolate!!!

when I was a kid I made all sorts of chocolate concoctions. choc chips, peanut butter, marshmallow cream, nuts, coconut--take your pick, melt the choc and mix together. juist eat with a spoon or spread on a cracker (ritz or graham). talk about a chocolate fix! lolol

I really like sugar free instant jello chocolate pudding, for being sugar free it doesn't really taste too fake after all.

sugar free chocolate nesquik powder isn't bad either, for chocolate milk. but it definitely tastes a little fake. but it's chocolate milk that I can drink so eh.. better than no chocolate milk hahaha

Here's an incredible hot fudge recipe that I got from someone on another message board...

INGREDIENTS:
30 large marshmallows (about 1/2 large bag)
2/3 cup milk
1/4 cup margarine
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 (12-ounce) package regular semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS:
Put marshmallows, milk, margarine and salt into a heavy saucepan over low heat; stir frequently until melted and blended. Remove from heat. Add chocolate chips and vanilla all at once and stir until all the chips are melted. Serve warm over ice cream. Store in the refrigerator after it has cooled.

Ever had an M&M Pizza? It's delish!

Spread sugar cookie dough out in a pizza pan and cook per package directions. Cool, then add chocolate pudding (fairly thin layer), decorate with M&Ms and Coconut (to resemble cheese) and drizzle with chocolate syrup!

OK, here's the recipe I promised (can you tell 3 of my kids are at my MIL's? who knew there were so many hours in the day :)

Double Chocolate Mint Treasures (posted on thehomeschoolmominthekitchen yahoo group 12/05)
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. peppermint extract
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. baking cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips

Cream together butter and sugars. Add egg, vanilla and peppermint extract. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to wet ingredients and then stir in chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen (or less if you eat the batter).

YUM-O are these things good--very similar to thin mints Girl Scout Cookies!

Now here's a topic I can sink my teeth into! :D

I have lots of yummy chocolate recipes. Since it's hot today, I'll share one that's easy and cool. (I can't promise low calorie though!) It reminds me of Napoleon pastries.

Pudding Cake

1 sm. pkg instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
1 sm. pkg instant Chocolate Pudding Mix
3 C. Milk
1 Box Graham Crackers
8 oz. Cool Whip
1 can Chocolate Frosting

In a medium sized bowl, mix the vanilla pudding with 1- 1/2 C. milk. Chill for 5 minutes. Add half the Cool Whip and mix well. In a different medium sized bowl, mix the chocolate pudding with 1- 1/2 C. milk. After chilling for 5 minutes, add the other half of the Cool Whip to the chocolate pudding and mix well. Line the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan with whole graham cracker. Pour the vanilla pudding over all the graham crackers. Add a layer of whole graham crackers over the vanilla pudding. Pour the chocolate pudding over the graham crackers. Top with another layer of whole graham crackers. Warm the chocolate frosting in the microwave until pourable (about 20 seconds). Pour chocolate frosting over the top of the graham crackers and chill several hours, or overnight. Enjoy!

Did you know doctors have discovered that m&ms are as good as medicine?

***At the first sign of hot flashes eat the RED one.

Eat the ORANGE one to minimize depression.

The GREEN one calms your frustrations when you want to be left alone.

If you feel a headache coming on, eat the PURPLE one.

The BLUE one reduces bloating.

You can eat the BROWN ones ANYTIME!!

If all symptoms occur at the same time, eat the WHOLE BAG!***

I just made fudge tonight. It's so stinking easy even a kitchen-phobe can do it.

1 can sweetened condensed milk
3 cups chocolate chips (1 1/2 regular sized bags or 3/4 of a large one)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon Grand Marnier or, since I didn't have any, Kahlua
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 cup mini marshmallows (optional)

Put the chips and milk in a microwave safe medium sized bowl and nuke on medium power for 2 minutes. Stir until chips dissolve. If necessary return to microwave for another 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Stir in vanilla and the booze.

Stir in marshmallows (for Rocky Road fudge) and nuts, if using.

Spread out on a cookie sheet covered with waxed or parchment paper and put in fridge for 1 hour or longer. Cut into pieces.

Yummy, yum, yum. And the broken bits that fall off when you're slicing it don't have any calories.

Not sure if anyone else does this, but I love to eat chocolate chips straight out of the bag, one chip at a time, savoring every morsel! My DH gets on my case about it cause then I can't make his fav cookies, peanut butter with chocolate and peanut butter chip cookies. :)

And it has no milk products in it - perfect for me as I am lactose intolerant!

we had a scrumptious dessert at vinny t's in portland maine this weekend. it is called CHOCOLATE BOMBA ... it is a deep dark luscious mousse, with teeny tiny chocolate bits, on a chocolate graham cracker crust, topped with a meringue type of topping, drizzled with fudge.... absolutely awesome.

and a recipe
This is decadant hot chocolate

This hot chocolate recipe calls for two different kinds of chocolate, and it's whipped frothy. The half and half cream makes for an extra rich cup of cocoa.
INGREDIENTS:

1 cup milk
1 cup half and half
8 tsp sugar
1 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
1 oz unsweetened chocolate, chopped
1 tbs brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
PREPARATION:

Heat everything in a saucepan, except the vanilla, until chocolates melt and sugar dissolves. Pour half into a blender and mix until foamy. Return to the saucepan, and add vanilla. Stir briefly then serve.

YUMMMMM

This is going to sound gross to a lot of you but we love it - Chocolate Gravy Recipe is easy to make.

3 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (I use Hershey's)
3 Tablespoons flour
3/4 cup of sugar
2 cups of milk.

Whisk together first 3 ingredients in a sauce pan. Continue whisking as you add in the milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Serve over hot, buttered Bisquick biscuits.

It's good over any kind of biscuit, but the Bisquick ones really do taste the best. Try it and you may be pleasantly surprized at how yummy it is.
