I have found that when I make a layout in 8 1/2 x 11 that I have to reduce the size of my original layout to less than 8 1/2 x 11 because if I try to print out a full page it cuts off some on all sides. I have to have my layout at 8.36 w x 10.77 in order to get the entire layout and not cut the edges off.

At first I thought it was just my printer but my daughter in law has the same problem and when I got a new printer...same problem.

Even if I click "Fit to page", it doesn't, it still cuts some off. Any suggestions? Anyone else have this problem?

I know that printing photos aren't necessarily the same as LO's, but I found that when printing photos, some printers have settings to allow you to print "borderless," which might give you back the the sides that get cut off if you dont's reduce the size of the layout. I have an Epson CX4600, which allows this, but my HP Deskjet 932C doesn't allow for borderless. You should check out the printer preferences to see if your printer can print borderless. I hope this helps.

I have a different HP model, but I have the same issues, everything I print has a border. So, for my scrap pages I have managed to print so far, I burn them to CD go to Kinko's and have them print the pages for me in the exact size I want. So far I've only wanted 12x12. But, I won't waste my time printing any scrapping items on my printer. Thankfully kinko's isn't that expensive to print things for me.

I, too, have an Epson printer that will print borderless - but you have to be sure to check that setting in your printer setup. In addition, unless you indicate certain types of papers (i.e. glossy photo paper, etc.) it won't even give you the borderless option.

This might be one of those times when you need to read the instructions hat came with your printer (and do't we all hate to do that!)

I do have a printer that will print bordless and I use that function, but it still present the problem as I stated above.

I havnet printed any of my digital layouts yet but I read about this when I started doing them. So what I do is make them 8x10, since my printer prints 8.5x11, I dont think It will cut any off. Even if I have a white edge around the thing I dont think it will bother me and if it does I will just cut it off. I dont know if this will help you any. But it is what I do and I thought I would post to let you know!

Have you tried checking your page settings before you print or save the page, it might need the margins, header and footer settings changed to zero.
as well as setting the printer preferences to printing as photo without borders.
