Help, can't use downloads...

I am hoping someone knows why....I downloaded the "C" for the challenge and when I put it in my project, it isn't a clean. It has a black and white frame around it and I am not sure why. I have the crop and paint all around it to make it look neat enough to use. Does anyone know why or have any suggestions?

What program are you using? I don't know if I can help but I know someone could if they know what program.

Most likely you dont have png files selected as a file format that your program recognizes. What program do you use ?

It's just called Scrapbooks Plus. I got it at Walmart. My cousin uses it and is able to use your items with no problems, but she and I couldn't figure out what the differences would be!
