Challenge #10 - Family Album - January pages

Welcome back! Glad to see you all here at the Family Album Challenge. :) The overall purpose of the challenge is to create your Family Album quickly and easily. Each month we will work on a different month of the year; however, the challenges change twice a month so there will be a different inspiration provided for each challenge period. One inspiration will be sketch style...the second will be calendar style.

Our challenge this time is pages for the month of January. Can be this year or a past year...doesn't matter as long as you are documenting the month!

I will usually have an inspirational sketch, but due to a HD crash last night my sketch is unavailable at this time. I will try to have one up tonight.

HOWEVER, the sketches are NOT mandatory....they are simply inspiration to get you started...your pages can be any style you choose. So, feel free to get started if you like. This round's sketch will be calendar style.

I'm so excited to be starting this challenge with you and I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

how and where do we get a calendar for last year?

there are sites that you can get calendars for any month and year you want (sorry, I don't have a link - just google til you find).

Of course, any pictures you use will be from 2006 or earlier, but I don't think we are limited in what year we use for the actual calendar. I am making mine for 2007 calendars - for gifts to give at Christmas this year!

Can I do a layout without the calendar in the layout?

I'm doing calendars with digital layouts, but my layouts are 12x12 and they gon on a ready-made calendar. I'm actually doing double page layouts. The left side goes on the calendar and the right side into the album waiting for its mate at the end of the year!

I'm confused if this challenge ends on Friday, April 7
or Thursday, April 6 because the heading said Thursday, April 6.

I hope I'm not too late - I had seen the number 7 and targeted that
