This one crept up on me quickly... nearly forgot to post it! :)
I love Easter. It’s one holiday that my family makes sure to get together for. We go to my maternal grandmother’s house (Yiya) and celebrate Easter Greek style. We have Easter soup, lamb, roasted potatoes, feta… I’m sure you guessed it, I chose an Easter quote. This one’s about Easter eggs. My husband’s mom hides hundreds of eggs for her grandchildren each year, which is also becoming a holiday tradition. So fun.
I take an egg
All shiny white
And then I dip
It out of sight.
I leave it there
Within the cup
Then after a minute
I pick it up.
And oh!
It's a lovely
Shade of green,
The prettiest Easter egg
I've ever seen!
