Ok I started to make a kit of my own. I use paint shop pro x. When I save my little things like my ribbons and my elements the background is transparent but when I open them back up it's white. How do I go about changing my settings so it stays transparent. Can anyone help me out, it'd be greatly appreicated.

Hey Smurflingsmom! Good to see you delving into the digital design arena!

I had the same thing happening to me. I figured out it was because I saved the file as a jpg. Try saving it as a png file. This will leave anything that is transparent still transparent.

See if that helps.

Yep that is right! I did that to and when I changed from jpeg to png files it stayed the same!

In Paint Shop Pro you want to check your prefernces. Here is what you want to see.
go to file, then prenfences, then file formatpreferences, then go to the PNG tabon the top. then check the use load and save transparency to/ from layer transparency. If you use the other setting you will get white all around your png. I know the hard way.:)

Hope this helped a bit.
