AD-spiration Challenge #13 May 2006

This ad is a bit different – sure, there is always the composition and the colors of the ad that we use as inspiration, but what attracted me to this particular ad was the idea of “extraction”. http://www.gottapixel.net/gallery/sh...o/6218/cat/551 (http://www.gottapixel.net/forum/../gallery/showphoto.php/photo/6218/cat/551)
I thought it would be neat if we could try extracting or “cutting out” or around part of the picture you plan on using for your layout. Of course, you can grab your inspiration from other parts of the ad – I’ve also got some cave photos I thought of using. Hmm……what do you think??

Hi,
This is my first time participating in the ad-spiration challange. If I am interperting the instructions correctly then all I have to do is create a LO getting my ideas from the ad provided. I don't need to dl anything special to do this? I did dl the challange props but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something important that I was suppose to do to participate correctly. Tahnk you for the props.

Craftymoom - you're right -- create a layout from anything that inspires you from the ad. I chose the ad this time because I was inspired with the idea of extraction, but something different may inspire you. You may use the paper I provided but you certainly don't have to use them if they don't fit your color scheme. Just have fun with it! :)

My first try at an ad inspiration. When I saw your papers, Linda, I immediately thought of the water...which then led me to think of the ships we were watching a couple weeks ago going down the river.

I liked the almost hypnotic effect of this ad - so extracted Katie from the photo and then twirled the background to try and give the same hypnotic effect!

I really liked the tunnel effect and knowing about the photo of my grandaughter which had lighting working with the shadowing in the framing I did, thought it would all work together.

This WAS a difficult challenge...I think I started about 5 different LOs...let's just say I got a lot of practice extracting...ugh! But it really turned out to be a lot of fun...really works that creative muscle. Thanks so much Linda -- you're awesome!!!

Ok Linda I am almost late with this but I did it! This one was fun! Kind of did more than the extraction on it. I did two extractions and the little warp/tunnle thing.

Well it was the circles that inspired me, I hope that's ok!! And I made a circles LO of me and some of my friends at our prom a few weeks ago, I didn't use those papers, so I hope this is ok, I would have tred the extraction thing, but I wasn't too sure on what that was, LOL
So as you can see the circles are the photos and the bubbles, of course the dotty background too, I love dots :D heehee
