Very First Scrap this Challenge - 5/16/06-6/15/05

Scrap THIS Challenge by Gary

Have you ever taken a stroll through the awesome member's galleries and thought to yourself, "Wow, I love what they did here. I NEED to try that on my next LO!!"

Well, here's your chance to do just that.

Each month I will post three member LO's that all have something in common. It could be they used stitching, or have wordart, or use gel buttons. Who knows!

You're job will be to scrap one, two, or all three of the LO's you see. Scrap whatever catches your eye. The color scheme, the sketch, the embellies. It is all up to you. The only requirement is for you to include the theme for this month (see below) and use ONE of the props I provide.

I think Gary is pretty busy with end of school year stuff. Since he is requiring us to use at least one of the stitching files, we do need the password. I found it, so I'll share it:

Blahahahahah....good lord, school is so crazy right now! They dropped the fact that I have to move classrooms and be done in one week just yesterday. Oh, and now I have to do an entire inventory of teacher materials.

I take the prop you give, Gary. Then I pick a layout that I like something in and I create a layout using what I like about the one I picked and using the prop you give, Right? OR do we just use stictching in some way? I am so lost! LOL HELP!!!

I don't think you are alone in this. I will try to reword it for next month.

Here's the breakdown:
1. Pick one of the three LO's you like.
2. Pick the feature you like about it.
3. Scraplift it
4. Use one of the stitches from my prop in your LO
5. Enjoy!

Ok So I scraplift one of the pages that you showed us. Then I add YOUR stitches to it and make it my own but make sure to say scraplifted from... and stitches by.... in the credits? Right?

Gary... of course we will give you time. My daughter is studying to be a teacher, elementary ed. This exercise is a good example that just because you understand what you tell us (your scrapping students in a way) does not mean that we understand what you are telling us!!! Communication 101... :)
I will look again at the layouts being done so maybe I understand what 'scraplift' means...

Gary, I loved your challenge and I couldn't pick one or find a way to combine that I was pleased with so I did 3 LO's for the Challenge. It brought me much joy and I so enjoyed working on them. Of course it helps that I got to work with my grandson't pic's too. Can't wait for the next Challenge!

I did one part of the challenge earlier, but then the month got crazy (husband was in a car accident and my daughter changed preschools) so I didn't know if I'd have time to complete more. I was lucky things have calmed down now and I've done the two additional scraplifts. Hope you like them!
