Sizing my Avatar!

Hi all,

I'm having a heck of a time sizing my avatar to fit within the 9.8 kb requirements.

I have PSE 4 and even when I set the pixel dimensions to something like 50 x 36 with a saving resolution of like "5" (medium), it still comes out a) too big or b) terribly blurry.

Any advice? Am I doing something wrong?

Hmm I wanted to add something to this post but I see I can't edit in these forums?

I just wanted to add that the current avatar (the smiley) is NOT the one I want... it's an avatar I use on other scrapbooking sites with no problems...

ted - try saving it as a .gif and see if that works - that usually makes the size much smaller.
