AD-spiration for June 2006

This ad caught my attention simply because it includes something I haven’t tried yet – embossing! http://www.gottapixel.net/gallery/sh...o/6220/cat/551 (http://www.gottapixel.net/forum/../gallery/showphoto.php/photo/6220/cat/551) LOL, It would’ve never crossed my mind to emboss a cheeseburger, but why haven’t I used it in any of my layouts before?! Let's try something different - I've provided some words as a prop -- use them, or some others, but let's play with "blending modes" this time.

Here is my layout! Wow I am first! LOL Had to use two different programs cause DIP would not do the embossing but PSE4 would. Maybe I just dont know how to use that function in DIP! LOL But here it is!

Here is my layout. I don't use embossing that much but it is a really neat technique. Maybe I'll get the hang of it and do it more often. Thanks for the challenge :)

Sharon Kay -- what is it you have a question about?? For this challenge, I've provided an inspiration ad and your "job" is to create a layout based on anything that inspires you from that ad. I usually provide some sort of prop that can be used if you like. This time I've provided some words that you can try different blending modes with. If you look in your layers palette, where it says "Normal" but if you notice there's a drop-down -- those are your blending modes -- some of them provide very unique effects and some are much more subtle - it all depends on the layer that you're using them on. Try playing with those and see how they change the look specific layers. (I use pse3 - hope it's similar). You don't have to use the words I provided, or even go along the path I suggested (blending modes) -- just go with whatever inspires you. I hope I've answered some of your questions - holler if you have more that I didn't address! Most of all, have fun!!! :)
