Tried for so long to make ribbons, but they all get so flat and dull.
Do you use a special texture?
I`ve got CS.

Tonje, I have PSE3, not sure if it will work with yours but I create a new file that is .5 wide and 17 inches long. I choose two monochromatic colors very close to each other, one slightly lighter than the first. Then I flood fill my document with one color. Next go to Filter>Sketch>Halftone. I can choose lines or dots at this point, but I like to create a grosgrain look with the lines. Play around with the settings until you get the look you like, click okay.
This is when I usually rotate the image 90 degrees to the right. Create a new layer and draw a thin line across the top and the bottom of the image to create a border of your ribbon. You can add a slight bevel to this if you'd like.
