It takes longer, but works just the same.
Papers
1) Open two MS Paint windows.

2) Using one of your MS Paint windows, select Image - Attributes to resize. I prefer a smaller (about 600 x 600 pixel) canvas. Call this Image 1.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e8...l/acb6966e.jpg (http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/acb6966e.jpg)
3) Have your base paper opened in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e8...l/7834b55b.jpg (http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/7834b55b.jpg)
4) Hit Print Screen on your keyboard
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e8...l/d2147b02.jpg (http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/d2147b02.jpg)
5) Go to your second MS Paint window (the one you did not resize) and paste your screen capture. This will be called Image 2.
6) In image two, delete surroundings. I usually paint the bigger parts (the black outline and the gray background) and use select to delete the rest.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e8...l/5ecf7f3e.jpg (http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/5ecf7f3e.jpg)
7) Move your paper to the top left corner and using Image – Attributes set it to the same size as image 1.
8) Select all and copy. Paste into image 1.
9) Now you get to play around. Have another paper open in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Repeat steps 4 and 5.
10) Instead of deleting all the outsides, select only the parts of the new paper you will need.
11) Copy the piece you have selected from image 2. Paste into image 1 and place where desired.
12) If you end up with a little extra room when you paste & place don’t worry. Just go to Image – Attributes and reset your canvas size.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e8...l/583035dc.jpg (http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/583035dc.jpg)
13) Repeat steps 10-12 for any other papers you wish to use. You could use freehand select to make shapes like circles or triangles to create fun effects on your page.
-------------
Embellishments
1) Once the paper is completed I prefer to start off with some embellishments before adding the picture. To do this open the embellishment you wish to use in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Press Print Screen on your keyboard and place it into the image 2 file you created in the first tutorial on Papers.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e8...l/03ffe086.jpg (http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/03ffe086.jpg)
2) Delete everything other than the embellishment from your image. Using the paint can to make everything white also works.
3) Using the select tool, select your entire embellishment and size it to fit your page by clicking in one of the corners and dragging. With ribbon I make it to the width I need since it can be shortened later.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/bf2bd6c9.jpg (http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/bf2bd6c9.jpg)
4) Go into Image 1 and be sure you have the correct transparency settings. They should match those in the figure below.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/8ea0c3b2.jpg (http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/8ea0c3b2.jpg)
5) Copy the embellishment from Image 2 and paste it into Image 1. Don’t worry if it goes off the paper. Do as you did in step 12 of the Papers tutorial – use Image – Attributes.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/7f99afb0.jpg (http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/7f99afb0.jpg)
6) Add as many embellishments as you want using the same process.
----------
Pictures
1) Be sure you have your page with papers already on it. You may or may not have embellishments on this page already. Be sure you have Image 2 from the Papers tutorial open.
2) In image 2 go to Edit – Paste From and find the location of the picture you wish to use, or paste off the internet. I chose a thanksgiving picture from Google Images.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/4fd1b65c.jpg (http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/4fd1b65c.jpg)
3) If the picture is correctly sized for the page then great. If not you may need to select the entire picture and drag corners to make it correct.
4) Once the picture is correctly sized, decide whether or not you want a mat or frame of some kind. If not copy your picture from image 2 and paste it into image 1 and place where desired.
5) If you do choose to use a mat or frame wonderful. I often will use a paper as a background for the picture, but in this case I will be using an embellishment frame. You may need a third MS Paint window (image 3). By using the process explained in the Embellishment tutorial your frame from image 3 will be ready to paste into image 2.
6) Copy the entire frame from image 3 and paste into image 2 with your picture. Be sure that your picture and frame fit together well.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e8...l/dd6d7bb3.jpg (http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/dd6d7bb3.jpg)
7) As you can see my frame doesn’t perfectly fit my picture. If this happens you have two options; you can leave it white and allow the background paper to bleed through on your page or you can paste a background paper into image 3 using techniques from the Papers tutorial and then paste the frame over that paper. I pasted mine over a third background.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e8...l/ab143cef.jpg (http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/ab143cef.jpg)
8) Now if your image is too big for your page you may want to resize it by selecting it all and dragging it to a smaller size.
9) Copy your picture and paste it into image 1.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/b504317c.jpg (http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e86/x_pirate/digiscraps/tutorial/b504317c.jpg)

Letters & Words
1) Now that your page has papers, pictures, and embellishments, the last thing to add is letters.
2) Be sure you have image 1 open as well as image 2.
3) I prefer to use text when digi-scrapping in MS Paint. Use the color picker to select the color for your text and use the text tool as you usually would.
4) If you’re using letters from a kit open the first letter you’ll need in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Treat it just as you would an embellishment and place it wherever you wish on your image.
5) For using pre-made words use the same process used in the embellishment tutorial. Be sure to fill all the little gaps with white.
