I hope some one can help. I'm using PSCS2 and in the middle of creating a LO, Photoshop decides it doesn't want me to use the layer styles on that specific LO. No matter what I try to do, shadows, bevel & emboss, stroke... The style I want to use wont show up on a layer. Now when I open a brand new file, it's fine, no problems. So I figured that I will create the item, layer styles and all and drag it to the document I want. Nope, those layers are not recognized. I tried closing out the program and restarting it, but the problem is still there. >:(
Thank you for the help and letting me vent.

Is your "bad" file a gif? I have problems with those... or the background layer? Sometimes those don't work like I think they should...

make sure your "mode" is RGB color and not grayscale. Go to Image > Mode > and see what is checked there for the file you're trying to apply the style to.

The pics are .jpg and the mode is RGB. PS is just being difficult with this one file. All layer styles started out normal, then just went kaput. I closed out everything and rebooted the computer, still nothing. The LO came out fine dispite the issues. http://www.gottapixel.net/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/12787/cat/2/limit/recent
I've been using PS for about 10 years and never had this issue.
