Shortcut?

Is there a shortcut key for linking layers in PSE4?

I use Ctrl + E for PSE3 if it's just two layers open. If I want to merge all the layers I use Ctrl + Shift + E.

Not sure if that works in 4.

So you don't link them before merging? The reason I ask is because a tut I was following did a link before a merge. What is the difference?

Linking can be undone at a later stage - which leaves you with greater flexibiltity. Merging makes them one layer that cannot be undone (unless you undo immeadiatly) I tend only to merge layers if I _know_ I never want to change the individual parts of them. As to a shortcut for linking - I don't know if there is a keyboard shortcut. In PSE4, I highlight the layers I want to link in the palette at the right hand side, right click and clikc link layers. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the clarification, Kanga. I usually link this same way but was kinda hoping there was a shortcut. Oh well. :)
