Let me start this week with a note from my sweet math game partner, Terry. :)
I would like to thank all of you for the kindness and support you have shown me since I took over moderating this game. I so look forward to your pm's each week. They are a bright spot in my day. I have come to regard you as my friends, and I miss you if I don't hear from you. I can't begin to tell you how much each of you have enriched my life with your sweet, loving comments. Thank you so very, very much. May each of you have a wonderful 2010!
Terry
How lucky I am to have Terry working this game with me! We are SO glad you're all playing. Ready for new numerals and a new game? Here we go...
Oh, before we play, remember to tell your online friends about this game. They don't even need to be digital scrappers (but let's show them how fun digital scrapping is :-D). Anyone who enjoys math challenges just might want to see this thread. Please send this link to them and ask them to join us:

I've created 0-9 to match my January feature kits, Dad's Tool Bench AND Grandpa's Tool Shed (http://www.gottapixel.net/forum/../store/search.php?mode=search&substring=dad%27s+tool&including=phrase&by_title=on&by_shortdescr=on&by_fulldescr=on&manufacturers%5B0%5D=25) which are both on sale now! If you play the game every week during January, you'll get the full alpha at the end of the month!

On Sale:
Dad's Tool Bench and Grandpa's Tool Shed (http://www.gottapixel.net/store/search.php?mode=search&substring=dad%27s+tool&including=phrase&by_title=on&by_shortdescr=on&by_fulldescr=on&manufacturers%5B0%5D=25) are just right for anyone skilled with tools! Be it woodworking in the garage or working on fences at the farm, these sets are loaded with realistic digitally drawn tools, fabric textured papers, and unique elements.
The two kits coordinate, so you'll want to get both to mix and match the papers and elements for that many more awesome manyly pages! Show the men in your life how special they are to you by scrapping their passions!

We're having fun sharing... I've been cleaning out my hard drives, sorting what needs to be sorted and making a bit of space for new things. I wonder, ... Do you have plans of cleaning out anything at your house now that 2010 is here?
How to play:
Just figure out the one right answer to the puzzle, send a PM to withnuts (http://www.gottapixel.net/forum/private.php?do=newpm&u=9480) with the right answer, and she'll send you a link to a zip file which includes a full set of numerals 0-9. The file is password protected, so she'll give you the password, too. :) Even though you'll only win the numerals once during the month, make sure to come back each week and continue playing.
Bonus Prizes:
If you like these numerals, make sure to play over and over. A new game comes out every Saturday. Every person who turns in the right answer every week this month will win the full alphabet!
Also, at the end of each month, I'll be giving away 2 free kits of the winners' choice. We love our new players, so we've decided we'd have a special drawing just for those of you who are playing this game for the very first time. :dance3 So, if this is the first time you're playing, please let Terry know when you send her your answer and she'll mark "new" by your name. Then at the end of the month, I'll draw 2 names rather than 1! What fun to get an extra free kit just for solving a math puzzle! The more you play, the better your chances of winning. ^-^ Also, creating layouts with the number frames and posting links to your layouts in this thread increases your chances.
(Team members, please continue to play as always, and you can still win the numerals and the full alpha, but the free kit will go to someone not on the Gotta Pixel team.)
Click *HERE* (http://www.gottapixel.net/forum/showthread.php?t=6184) for basic information.
For this puzzle, you might want to read *MY HINTS PAGE* (http://www.gottapixel.net/forum/showthread.php?t=28949). Check the hints if you're not sure about prime numbers, square roots, or any of those things we haven't thought about since math class.
Clues:
1. It is a 6-digit whole number.
2. The sum of the 6 digits is 35.
3. No number is less than 4.
4. There are two 4s and two 5s in this number.
5. The hundreds digit is the sum of the ones digit and the tens digit.
6. The thousands digit is one less than the hundreds digit.
7. The number is divisible by 5.
8. The tens digit is the same as the hundred-thousands digit.
9. The tens digit is half of the thousands digit.
How my students solve these puzzles: Try writing 6 lines on your paper and putting possible numbers under each. Mark out numbers as you go ‘til you get the answer. Check THIS (http://www.gottapixel.net/forum/showthread.php?t=28950)out to see what I mean.
When you solve the puzzle, send Terry a Private Message with your answer. Click withnuts (http://www.gottapixel.net/forum/private.php?do=newpm&u=9480) to send. Do not reveal the answer in this thread as that will end the game for the week. This puzzle will go through the week, and I'll post another one next Saturday.
Terry and I hope all of you come back to play each week, and send your friends here as well! Let's sharpen those brain cells while we have fun AND get a little reward in the process! Thanks for being part of the fun here at Gotta Pixel!
