hiya,
i hope its ok to jump in here and advise :)
This is my first post, so i hope i dont do anything wrong lol
I use psp 10, but am almost certain its the same for 9.
Go to View, change grid, guide and snap properties (if it isnt there, then its at File/preferences/general program preferences)
you need to alter the GRID properties to what suits your thumbnails
i.e
if your thumbnails are 100 x 100 pixels, and you want a 10 pixel space between them (i know they wont be this small, but its the easiest one to work out this early lol)
set your grid as 10 pixels.
click ok
Go to view again, and select to show the grid, go back to view and select snap to gridl
Now paste your thumbnail as a new layer onto your blank canvas and move to where appropriate. The thumbnail will always snap to the grid, ensuring that the images are always lined up straight.
I know it isnt automatically doing it for you, but it is an easy way to do them straight lol
oh .. i just thought .. again in psp 10 (and should be something like it in psp 9) go to file/print layout and it alters the view to the print layout view. again go to view to create grid lines and select snap to grid. as above, it doesnt do it automatically for you, but the layout of the screen maybe a bit easier .
hope some of this helps
