Tell us about the day you woke up and said "I want to be a digital scrapbook designer!"

It was not one day. Is was long-lasting process. I have starter as web designer. Then I discover scrapbooking and tried my designing skills as digital designer.

Inspiration is everywhere, but what are the things that catch your eye?

The biggest inspiration are books, movies or some photos I took. Like it was with attic kit. I had a lot of my grandma attic photos and those photos inspired me to make a kit: Cozy Atiic.

Out of all the products that you have created, which one is your favorite? (include link)which one is most popular?

I love every kit I create and is it hard to decide which is my favourite....Maybe Under the Baobab Tree. I would like to write a book using illustrations that I already made using this kit. I think this kit is very unique because 99% of elements are hand painted.

Describe your style.

Bizarre, unique and specific .

What is one thing about digital scrapbooking that you couldn't live without? i.e. Undo, templates, colour changing, fonts

Designing hand painted characters. I start with the sketch in my copy-book then I develop it with graphic tablet and software ( mostly I am using gimp). It is the way how Einstein ( I like Chemistry) or Ebenezer Scrooge ( Christmas Carol) were created.

What colours do you find yourself drawn to with designs, i.e. bright, funky, soft, earthy etc...

I like greens, browns, so I think earthy colours. I like natural colours.

Tell us (or show us) what your work area looks like.

What does your family think about you being a digital scrapbook designer?

Most of my family don't really know what scrapbooking is. My husband was very sceptic at the beginning. But now he also started to take photos of some equipment or unusual stuff that could be useful for my digital kits.

What is one thing about yourself that others might not know.

My most unusual hobby is restoring old furniture and making some little furniture like wooden boxes of little wooden cupboards. I grind, polish, and paint the furniture with stain. I also like using découpage technique.

What other hobbies do you have?

I got a lot of hobbies: I play piano, my father is a musician so I had to get my musical education. I also paint. Most of my home painting were made by me. I am not an outstanding painter but my paining are quite tolerable.

Tell us about you, what you love, what you hate, your family, your friends.

I was born in Poland, in a small town, 33 years ago. I have married when I was 20. My husband was 20 too. We were both students. After I graduated from Polish University of Science , we decided to leave Poland and try new live in Germany. I am not very happy about living so far away from my parents and my friends that I left in Poland. I really miss them every day. In 2006 my son Mel was born. When I was sitting in home I discovered scrapbooking. I started designing. This helped me not to be crazy sitting most of the time home, with baby and being 24 hours just a mother. I love making videos. Mostly with my son Mel. I publish some of them on youtube. I love playing piano and singing. My favourite song is Make you feel my love of Adele. We have two cats: Mintaj ( eng.: Pollock) and Frodo. I really like cats. Cats are really extraordinary animals. I hate violence , wars and politicians who pull the wool over our eyes. Live could be some beautiful without lies, hate and weapons. I wish some day politicians will invest most of the money in inventing new medicines then in developing new guns... The reason why I love scrapbooking is that this kind of art give me and the other the possibility to create some other reality, other world - better, more colourful fill with happiness and laugh. Scrapbooking is my escapism...
