PSE shortcuts

Shortcuts are keystroke commands for PSE. They help streamline your work process when making elements.

I need to learn some new commands myself, so I'm going to post some new ones every once in a while. I'm going to put the commands on a sticky note and stick it to my monitor for quick reference.

The first new keystrokes are:

New File--Ctrl +N
New Layer--Shift+Ctrl+N
Step Backward--Ctrl+Z (I use this one alot!)

Hey Barbara,

Its been quite a while since I used PSE, but I think the short cuts are similar to those in PS. My second most used short cut (next to ctrl+z) is ctrl+j which duplicates a layer.

I use this so much when I want to experiment with filters and things. :)

C--for crop
K--for paintbucket
I--for eyedropper, to choose colors
B--for brush

Okay, add these to your repertoire:

V--move tool
U--custom shape tool
E--eraser
M--marquee tool

All of these are in the tool box. These and the four above are the ones I use most often from the tool box.
