Has anyone seen any good tuts for Ribbons (other than grossgrain) in PS7 or PSCS? I have one on grossgrain, but would like to try other ribbons too.

Also, I'm having a hard time figuring our fibers and torn edges in PS. I've got them down fairly well in PSP, but I can't find a similar brush in PS to the one I use in PSP to make fibers and I also can't find the "fur" texture in PS that I use in PSP to get the nice edge on my torn edges.....

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!!! :D

OHHHHHHHH-- I was just trying to do fibers in PSE yesterday, and found a good brush to use-lemme look and I will reply when I figure which one it was.

Okay, thanks, Brenda. There is a neat looking wispy one that LOOKS like it would work well, but when I tried it out it just didn't work like I would have thought....:O)

Tara-- Well I looked at PSE2, and there is a default brush-#192, called Fuzzball that I tried and it worked pretty good once I tweaked the settings. Hope that helps. I am still trying to learn the torn paper myself. :P

Try my tut on torn edges in this article--it IS for PSE, but you should be able to use it for PS.

I know Tandika has them for PSCS but you have to have a membership there to access them :'(

Yes, she does and they are very nice! I do have a membership there. :)

Do you think the membership is worth it Tara? I've been trying to decide if I should get it...

Hmmmm....well she has about 35 or so tuts right now. I'm not sure how many of those are public, but I believe the majority are membership only.

They are FANTASTIC tuts. The best I have seen so far. VERY in depth and the results achieved are VERY realistic. Also, she adds to them fairly frequently.

Also, she had a Mentor program going to help new designers get started. It was free to paid members and I had just started in it when she had to temporarily cancel it. The feedback (private forums/galleries) was invaluable. She plans to start that up again in Feb. or March. I sure hope she does! It included any help needed to complete your first kit and sell in their store for that one kit free of charge for a period of time.

So, yes, I feel that if one can spare it, it is VERY worth the fee! HTH! :)

Cool, thanks for the info. It's hard to know when something's a scam (like I could just find similar tuts elsewhere) or if it is truely something worth investing in. I think I may sign up!
