I'll be posting steps in this thread starting at around 8:05 pm EST tonight! Join us here or in the chatroom :)


Step #1 - Choose 2 photos, frame both using the same frame. Place on your page overlapping & rotate each slightly. *Note: Use same frame twice, not 2 pictures in one frame*

Step #2 - Choose 3 papers for your backgrounds, layer these, resizing slightly in any way that you'd like. You can rotate.

Step #3 - Add a circle mat behind one of the photo. Use at least two rings somewhere on your page.

Step #4 - Add one horizontal paper rectangle and at least 2 ribbons to your page.

Step #5 - Use at least one each of the following: a tag, a string, a star, a button, a flower. You can use more, but at least one of all the elements listed.

Step #6 - Use a label for your title and add the date to your page.

Step #7 - Add any additional elements, journaling, etc that you'd like to include to your page.

Layouts are due 3/10/10 at 6:30 pm EST

It's hard to do both, isn't it. Connie's speed scraps are usually pretty lively! Lots of times I have to wait until it's over to scrap, but every once in a while I'm able to get most of it done during the chat. It's fun either way -- hanging out in the chat room or following along in the forum. Her steps are always super.

A lot going on last night including the Columbus Crew tying Toluca 2-2 (YEA!!) in tournament play (watched it on the tube). I finally was able to finish this speed scrap today, although it seemed like it took me forever. Of course, when you are doing a cluster of items, recoloring many, and you accidently delete them all before you've saved them, that DOES set you back a bit.
1. two photos framed and overlapping
2. 3 papers for the background (the bottom paper is white)
3. lace circle mat behind top picture and entwined lace rings behind the other one
4. horizontal paper used to make label; green lace ribbons part of cluster at top and bottom
5. circle tag hanging by string (I made) from lace circle; stars, buttons, and flowers on cluster strips at top and bottom
6. title on label in upper right corner and date on circle tag
7. shadowing, etc.
