Speed Scrap Friday, 1/7/2011 at 8 pm EST

Hi everyone! I wanted to extend an invitation to you to join us Friday night 1/7/2011 at 8 pm EST in the Gotta Pixel chatroom for a Speed Scrap. I'll be posting seven steps over the course of one hour and then you will complete a layout based on those steps.
I give lots of extra time after the chat to finish your layouts even though it's a "Speed" scrap so that it's a more relaxed experience. Steps will be posted in the forum as well as in the chatroom so if you can't make it during the hour there is still time to participate later. Everyone is welcome and I don't require Gotta Pixel product to be used on the layouts.

Prizes are given for participation as well!

The steps will be posted in the forum also and the LO will not be due until the next day (usually at noon) so you could still follow the steps and complete a layout. You would still qualify for the participation prize!!

I definitely will try to make the chat.

For those of you new to Connie's speed scrap, she allows til the next day to turn in your layout. I've done the SS instructions after the chat was long over and then got my layout submitted before her deadline. I recommend doing that if you can't make the chat. The steps are always fun to follow :)

Step #1 - Choose 1-3 photos, frame or mat if you wish & place them on your layout so that they are all touching.

Step #2 - Choose 2 papers, a solid & a pattern, and layer them to create your background.

Step #3 - Add shapes using at least 3 more different papers, any shape is ok.

Step #4 - Use at least 2 ribbons on your page.

Step #5 - Add a character of some sort to your page (ie: snowman, gingerbread man, superhero, etc)

Step #6 - Add at least 2 clusters of elements on your page.

Step #7 - Add any additional elements, title, or journaling that you'd like on your page!

My PLAN was to attend the speed scrap last night. And I WAS there for awhile. But, my pup insisted I play with her and when a terrier is insisting on something -----

In two weeks, I will be flying to Greensboro NC to attend the 2011 National Figure Skating Championships. I'm really excited about it and have pulled out some of my pictures from 2010 to scrap to get me even MORE in the mood. Our seats in Spokane were above and to the left of the broadcasters, so we had great views of the NBC team, including long-time skating guru Dick Button, and fan fav Scott Hamilton. Rusty Kath wanders around the arena talking to fans and giving out t-shirts or other prizes. He fills up the time between commercial breaks during the live broadcasts. He was right next to us when that picture was taken.

I am so sorry I didn't see this until now. Do you need help on how to post your page to the gallery and then how to share it in the forum? If you'll let us know what program you are using, I'm sure someone will be glad to share with you the steps on how to do that.
