Because of the limited amount of time I have to take photos, I have to kind of prioritize what I want to do. I try to incorporate several things in one photo shoot so I can save time... but I also have some goals for this year that I want to do.

My biggest one is focusing on flies. I've grown to really love the complexity of flies. Yeah they are annoying, they are kinda gross, but when you get them in the lens, especially the macro lens, they become creatures of pure amazement. So this year I want to take as many photos as possible of flies.

I also want to master taking water droplet pictures and learn how to create new and interesting shapes with the droplets. I've learned already that creamer creates mushroom shaped ploms where water looks like a finger sticking out of the water.

So those are my goals. What are yours?

My goal this year is to figure out how to take non-blurry sports shots. Right now, I take alot and end up with one good one :) I'm reading tutorials, tips, articles online and have been practicing.

I only have a point and shoot and don't plan to get involved with a high end, heavy camera. But I would love to master getting good photos in low light situations w/o the flash. Like at school functions where I am not right next to the stage. My photos this year are better than the ones I took 5 years ago (of course, so is my camera!), but I still have a long way to go.

My goal isn't really to do with taking photographs, my goal for 2011 is to complete my first yr on my photography degree and hopefully pass and move on to the 2nd yr.
