Tomorrow is Christmas Eve already !! What do you all have planned ? We will probably go to a evening service at church, and thats about it. Dh gets the day off, so I dont know if he has planned anything or not. Christmas Day we will open gifts then maybe go to the beach or hiking.

Well, unfortunately DH works days both Sat. and Sun. :(

So DD and I will ice the sugar cookies tomorrow and finish wrapping. I'm hoping to sneak in some computer time so I can work on my winter kit for the Daily Downloads.

Then we go to MIL's for the updated version of the traditional Italian 7 fishes dinner. DH will meet us there when he gets off of work and then hopefully we will go to mass. If not, DD and I will go on Sunday.

Then home to get cookies out for Santa and to spread the reindeer food on the lawn (DD made some at school) and get her to bed. Then play santa and put out the gifts. :)

Lastly, DH and I usually find a station playing "It's a Wonderful Life" and watch it until we can't keep our eyes open. :)

Christmas Eve is the one time of year I do a 'big' party. Big for me is just the 6 of us plus about 8 other people. We do a traditional Italian Seafood Feast. My husband makes homemade tomato sauce with scungilli. (I wouldn't eat it--but my kids and husband love it). I make something with shrimp for the rest of us. Tonight I'm going to try a seafood casserole that looks easy. You're supposed to have 7 different kinds of fish, but I rarely get that many. I start making appetizers after Thanksgiving and freeze them. A favorite from year to year--not seafood and not Italian--is cranberry meatballs.
We pig out so much on appetizers and the main dishes (with 3 pounds of linguini!) that I've learned not to make much dessert. So I'm just putting out a tray of cookies!

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend!

Wow, you're good--that was a really fast reply!

I'd hate it if I had an allergy to shrimp. Now, an allergy to scungilli--that I could live with.

yum, I love shrimp.

We're packing up and going to mil's for Christmas Eve. We spend the night and spend Christmas morning with my family. We're about 2 hours from "home" so this works out well. Eventually, the kids will probably want to do Christmas morning at home and play with their toys here, but no complaints yet!

awww, everyone sounds like they are going to have such a lovely time!

I'm working 7a-3p, then home to make lasagna. Our little family--Chip and I and the kids (incl DIL) will eat and open our presents to each other.

Christmas Day we will eat dinner at my mom's. My sister and her hubby and oldest son are driving in from Kansas City and we will also have my DIL's mom and sister join us. They will probably leave early as Hanukkah starts at sundown.

Later on in the evening, the girls will go and look at Christmas lights. The guys will watch football.

Johnny and I ended up watching The Santa Clause, and the British Royal Performance thingy which was very good! We also wrapped the last of the pressies and I made Johnny his Christmas card.

Less than 45 mins to go till Christmas!!!! :D
