Sue- You can use brushes for various things. Some like to paint color onto certain parts of their picture, paper etc. Others use them as an eraser to get rid of color. If there are any LO's that specifically have what you want, please show us and we will try to tell you how to do it.

I highly recommend Hybrid-Genesis, Thia is a wonderful graphical artist :) As for DeviantART, it's kinda like a forum where different people submit thier work so it's never by the same person, I use DA to post my brushes too.

HG: http://hybrid-genesis.net
and my DA page in case anyone is curious (most of my brushes are small for icon/avatar making though): http://lisaedson.deviantart.com

I have a problem with Brushes.. many of them don't work on Photoshop 6.0... any body got a site with brushes that do?

There aren't very many sites that make brushes lower than PS7, and those are getting more unusual as people upgrade so you're best bet is to turn the imagepacks that a lot of places offer into brushes, I assume you do it the same way as you do in PS7 so if you don't know how PM me or something and I will try to help :)

TRUST me when I say it's worth the trip..be warned though ..you do have to wade through some crud at times to get to the real treasures..OH almost forgot..click on pix to be take to pg that you dwnload from & click bk to get to where you were ..on image pg at bottom rt click on rthand next 24 to go to next pg

I hope I am not doing anything wrong here. I found a great tutorial on how to use brushes but it is on another website. Is it ok to post the site?

My favorite for "hair" brushes is ravnheart (http://www.ravnheart.com/) She's got insects, flowers and others for sale that are exceptionally nice.

and there are some excellent brush sets available if you are a photoshopelementsuser.com (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com) member

I make my own, but I've run across these and they are each of very nice quality, and I have used them all.
and if you are one of Linda Sattgast's (scrappers guide (http://www.scrappersguide.com)) members. Brush sets for flowers, stitches, and some wonderful stardust brushes
