Welcome to another round of Fun Funky Mystery Numbers!

(A word of warning. Please don’t give up. This one took me a few extra minutes to solve, but a calculator came in handy with the second clue. Let’s see who can stick this one out.)

Clues:

It is a four-digit whole number.

It is a square number.

Each of its digits is even.

It is not divisible by 8.

It is divisible by 4.

Each of its digits is different.

The numeral 0 is one of its digits.

It is greater than 5000.

It’s tens digit is greater than its ones digit.

Its tens digit is 8.

Try writing 4 lines on your paper and putting possible numbers under each. Mark out numbers as you go ‘til you get the answer. LOL, I´m no whiz kid at all. Math was always one of my weakest subjects in school. I´m a language person, but doing not too bad with these numbers :)

Good puzzle as usual! I am a numbers person ... math was my minor in college. :) This sort of thing would be good for an extra credit project in school ... of course, harder to trust the kids not to share the answers than us ... since we're online and they sit in desks next to each other, LOL! :) (Can't help thinking of it as a thing for school ... I'm supposed to be a teacher!)

Melinda, I do use them in my classroom and the kids love them. That's why I decided to share them with you all. Do I just scream teacher wherever I go? lol

I use them with 3rd-5th graders and they work in teams trying to get the answer first to earn stickers. The stickers build up toward prizes. Since they're in competition, there isn't any sharing. lol Teams switch out every day as well.
