Howdy....
OK, I downloaded this trial version, and now I don't know how to bring it up in Adobe Photoshop 6.0, or how to use it.
http://www.namesuppressed.com/design/plugins-plaidlite.shtml

I am pretty sure I downloaded it to actions, but I don't know ANYTHING about actions :'(

Is there anybody who can help me? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze :D

Flutterby,

When I downloaded and installed Plaid Lite it automatically found the file to place Plaid Lite in.

To access it... open your software... I use PSE .. it is under "filter" and is called "namesuppressed."

To use it.. open a pic.. a bg paper.. or etc. Then go to filter... click on namesuppressed... and a window will come up... on the right side are slider bars used to adjust the color.. zoom... rotation.. and etc of the plaid... on the left side you will see a preview of your plaid... you just have to play with it to get the look you want.. there is also a help file you can access in the program.. When you accept the plaid... it will fill your pic or bg with the new plaid... you will then want to save that with a different file name and either undo the affect or close the original and say "NO" to save changes... I hope this helps and is not too confusing... good luck! :)

Hi...
THANKS for the help.
this didn't work for me......I know it should have, but for some reason it didn't, and I can't figure out why yet....
It didn't download to a particular place automatically, so I placed it in my filters folder, but it doesn't show up in my filters toolbar, unlike 2 other ones I previously downloaded.
I tried to add it somehow, but that didn't work either.
I give up for now...probably just too advanced for where I am at right now. I will go back another day and try it again.... ::)

thanks again for your efforts to help me!

Personally, I HATE plaid lite, unless you have a pc that wont tell you its eating your resources, lol. Our own Loofah here told me an easier way to do it, and I love the results. You must download the Stripes are In filter, and Simple filters to do this one. (Both are well worth it !!)

First fill a new document with a color that you want as a main color. Then using the different colros you want, with different sized brushes, make horizontal lines across your page. Not too many though, or it will be too busy.

Next, use the stripes are in filter, and make sure both sliders stay at 100.

Then go to Simple FIlters, Diamonds. If you do it once, it makes diagonal stripes. Do it again, it makes them straight again. Do this as many times as you choose, but the last one must make them diagonal again.

Then go to Simple Filters, 4 Way Average. If you choose that , it will make your diagonal stripes into a plaid !!

Where do you find the Stripes Are In filter?

I found a link to it here:
http://wwell.net/tutorials/pi8/plaid/index.html

Even though it says it's for Photo Impact, it works in PSP and in PSE too.

I forgot to say - once you extract the filter file into your plugins folder, open your progam, and you will find it under "Horizonaus Mixed Bag". At least that's where I found my "Stripes are In" filter.

Hope this helps!
