This is the National 9/11 Flag. Found in the aftermath of 9/11 and stitched back together in 2007 by tonado survivors in Greensburg, KS. This flag is now being restored using pieces of flags from all 50 states. After completion, it will end up at the ground zero memorial. I am honored that I got to sew one stitch to help attach a piece from the USS Missouri in Pearl Harbor that they received on Dec 7, 2011. Other pieces include the flag Lincoln was laid on after being shot at the theatre.
