Journaling reads: Yes, that's me strumming the guitar, and belting out "I Surrender Dear" a tune certainly not of 1974, but of the early 50's! My guitar teach, Mr. Taylor, was a definite fan of the oldies, so I learnt them too! I don't think my pink hot pants was truly dressing with the mood of the music...but it worked at the time. This was our school Christmas concert, and I remember although nervous, I didn't make a mistake with the tricky quick fingerwork required. (Age 14)

Amendum: Addendum: I know the song "I Surrender Dear" was originally put out by Bing Cosby in 1931, but it was reintroduced in the 50's by Nat King Cole (1952) and Ray Stevens (1958). It was a rendition of the latter version I was playing, I think... . I truly didn't know much about it then.
