I came across a recipe for an apple cake that really sounded delicious. I am not usually a baker, especially from scratch, but thought I would give this a try. I gathered my ingredients, measured everything precisely, carefully peeled my apples, and mixed it all according to the instructions. The aroma while it was baking was heavenly ... I couldn’t wait to try the first bite. Let’s just say it was not up to my expectations. Something just wasn’t right. My hubby took one look at the recipe and said it doesn’t have enough sugar .... I could have told you that. I think I’ll leave the baking to hubby!
