I started school in the back of a church, whilst the school was being built. The school went from Prep to Year 8 (which in Australia is the 2nd year of high school, we then split up and went to different schools, some going to work).

A class that was large, a class that was well taught. No I didn’t go to an all girls school, there were 31 girls and a separate photo would have been taken of the boys who would have numbered more than the girls. That means over 60 children in one class with one teacher. (My prep grade had about 90pupils - 1 teacher). There were two sets of twins and most of us were still together in grade 6.
