Remembering Our Angels
Today is International Pregnancy & Baby Loss Day. I wanted to create a page to remember all the angel babies and parents across the world.
Journaling reads:
The 15th October is International Pregnancy and Baby Loss
Day. It is a day for remembering our Angels and spreading
awareness for our cause.
The birth of a child is a truly miraculous thing. It is a time
of celebration, of joy and adoration. It is celebrated in every country of the world. Women dream of this special and incredible moment of actually bringing into this world, the life they created and nurtured for 9 months. And a father begins to plan their life around this precious baby about to arrive. But sadly, for many parents this dream does not come true. There are different types of loss: miscarriage, abortion, stillbirth and neonatal death. All are devastating events to the parents and families involved.
The concept of pregnancy and baby loss is not new. It has occurred throughout history and is not selective of race or colour. It happens everywhere. For some there is a known cause, and for some there is not. Although it is common, it is not talked about nearly enough. Mostly because it is sad and hard for most of us to even comprehend. We worry about saying the wrong thing. But to a grieving Mother, this can hurt even more.
Today we remember all the Angel Babies across the world. We pray for their families and friends, and that more answers are found as to the cause of loss and that one day it can be prevented.
