I was packing tonight, getting ready for our move, when I found a folder with some photos taken several years ago. I pulled them out and looked at them and found this photo I had taken July 2001 of the NYC sky line, more specifically, the World Trade Centers.

I lived less than 30 miles away at the time. My husband worked across the river. My husband and brother were driving to work when they heard the news. Seeing this photo brought back a flood of emotions about that day, and the fear that I felt, and how close I was to it all.
