Cabin Fever
Here's Madae's and my layout for challenge No. 2:
The journaling reads:
"Cabin Fever....you can either view it as the glass that's half full or half empty. The half empty glass has whiny children who can't stop bickering or are constantly reminding you that they're bored. It is the list of errands you need to run, but can't fulfill because it's too dangerous to drive. The missed school days that will have to be made up at the end of the year or the days off of work that will decrease your paycheck. It's a claustrophobic feeling where you can't escape your home, the one place where you should always feel at ease. Cabin fever is awful and makes you forget about the little moments when the glass is half full. Like sitting around the warm fire with your family, sharing a cup of hot chocolate with extra marshmallows, watching the snow fall and hearing absolutely silence even though you're in the middle of a city. Building a snowman with your children, reading books, sharing blankets and lazing the day away. It's too easy to focus on the inconveniences and forget that despite the bad feelings, good memories are still being made".
We used:
3 swirls - French Quarter by Ziggle Designs
5 purple flowers - (re-coloured) Sweet Couture by Laura Burger
4 leaf clusters - Sweet Couture by Laura Burger
1 bow - French Quarter by Ziggle Designs
1 key - One Moment by April Staker
1 window frame - Sweet Couture by Laura Burger
1 acrylic frame - Love Paris by Cherie Shields (blog train Freebie)
1 tag - Tayli Bo Bailey by Cherie Shields
The alpha is from Sweet Couture by Laura Burger
The TWO fonts we used were Milk & Cereal (journaling) and SA Inkspot (on the tag)
The 4 papers came from Peek-a-boo by Jennifer Barrette (worn brown), Old Friends by She's Full of Scraps (blue), Journey by Royanna Fritschmann (brown) and Sugar Dreams by Jofia Devoe (purple).
We have THREE photos: the large photo of the cabin, the extraction of Molly and the extraction of Mason behind the window frame.
Who did what? Madae created the background with the papers and element cluster in the top corner, she provided the three photos and wrote the journaling. I created the window element cluster in the bottom corner and leaf/flower cluster on the right, the titlework and placement of the journaling. We both did one extraction each.
