Kindred Spirits
This is my layout for challenge #4 Art and Soul
To create an artsy feel I extracted Sam and I from the photo and added butterfly wings, I added in the little fairies, swirls and glitter. For my background I blended two arty papers together with brushwork and finally added my journaling:
The journaling reads:
Sam and I have known each other for 9 years now and have been sister’s in law for 5 of those. But it has been over the past 12 months that I have really felt our bond grow. We have become kindred Spirits. Someone who “gets” me. Someone I can tell my fears, share my laughter, joy and pain. My road to healing over the past 2 years has been a diffiuclt journey and often lonely. After a period of time, people expected me to have moved on. But I struggled with this concept. I would never be “over it”. My angels will always be with me. Sam not only “gets” that, but she does everything in her power to include my angels in everyday life. She is one of the only people who can talk with me about my angels with happiness and no awkwardness. She helped me to realise that the pain I feel may always be there but there can be peace and acceptance amidst the pain. She has so much positive energy to share and is always thinking of others. I am so grateful to call her my sister and have her as a friend. We aren’t just friends, we are kindred spirits.
