Homeschooling
My oldest has always struggled in school...they said he had a learning disability, but one was never named. He would get straight A's one quarter and fail the next. Last year, after asking for a meeting with his teachers, one of them said he had no problem other than being lazy, and he wasnt going to end up doing anything out of high school...IF he got out of high school.
Wrong thing to say to me, and to say it in front of my son, no way. We decided that day that he would not return to that school this year. After much discussion, we decided to homeschool. A family at our church has a dd a year older than him, and helped us with our curriculum for the year. It ended up that we brought all three home to school, and despite my fear at first, it is going great.
The son who was called lazy and stupid is now getting straight A's and is actually understanding what he is learning.
