ADSR Challenge #12

This challenge is an INTERSECTION -- Players must collaborate on one project.

Pretend you and your team mate are sitting on a porch, sipping a cup of tea and chatting. You stumble upon the topic of storytelling, your eyes light up and you begin talking about why storytelling is so important to each of you.

Please create a layout that expresses what storytelling means to each of you. Why did you each choose this form (scrapbooking in general and/or digital specifically) to tell your stories? Why is storytelling important? How do you feel about storytelling (is it a creative outlet, way to express your words, document your family's experiences, etc.) Why are you a storyteller? (You don't have to answer all these questions, consider them food for thought and to give you an idea as to what we are looking for.)

Your story must include:
{we are} storytellers word-art provided -- you may alter the word-art if you would like.
At least 1/2 of the layout must be journaling, more the better

Laura’s journaling:
I enjoy digital scrapbooking as a way to be creative and to preserve precious memories. I started off making a yearbook for our homeschool group and while I was searching for clip art, I discovered digital scrapbooking. I thought the layouts were so amazing, that I wanted to do something creative and artsy just like those!
Learning Photoshop has opened up a more artistic side of me than I knew existed. I love to blend papers and photos to get unique pieces of art. I also love the versatility of scrapping. Some layouts are simple with a single photo and a few embellishments, while others are seemingly everything but the kitchen sink! Scrapping to me is telling the story of my family and friends. It is a fulfilling hobby that I am pleased to pass along to my daughter.

Alyssa’s journaling:
Digital scrapbooking at first to me was just one of my mom’s hobbies. On occasion, I’d watch her do stuff in photoshop, but never really understood what she did, or really cared. The love for digital scrapbooking came slowly, but it sure came. I made my first layout (with my mom’s help, of course!) using a quickpage and thought that was pretty neat. It grew from there.
I love taking photos, (hence my username; photocrazy!) I enjoy digital scrapbooking as a way to show off the photo, maybe add a Bible verse or maybe just to tell a story. I think its sometimes its fun just to scrap your thoughts or your dreams. (Although, if I were to scrap some of them, you’d think me crazy!)
It’s also fun to take photos of family and friends and to be able to create a page about the event. I really enjoy my hobby and hope that other people enjoy it too.
