Allen’s big idea was to get Andy a pet for his 13th birthday -- ok, so he wanted a dog too & thought we could get one, but without a fence, it’s pretty hard to keep a dog. So we went on-line to see what the animal shelter had and we found Sadie, a beautiful, sweet, 2 year old Domestic Short Haired cat. She became part of our family on July 9, 2009. She is getting used to us and the boys are learning how to handle her correctly. And, although Andy’s birthday is over a month away, he says it’s the BEST gift he ever received!
