the boys grew sunflowers from seed this summer!

When we planted the sunflower seeds in the spring, it was touch and go, whether they would make it to the garden. Once in the garden the slugs took a particular liking to the new shoots, but these are tough sunflowers... they survived over watering, not enough water, attacks by slugs, and now they are in full beautiful bloom
