Surely this would have to be the worst part of being a Mother - having a sick child. You were 16 months old and began vomitting on Monday. You would vomit,and vomit and vomit until of course there was nothing else to bring up, but then you would just heave and dry reach and as there was nothing left in your little tummy it would hurt you even more. There were occasions when you would stop vomitting for 12 or so hours and we thought you were better but then it would start all over again. We had endless trips to the doctors, I phoned health direct goodness knows how many times, and made a trip to PMH, but we were told it was just a virus and it will soon end. But it didn’t & by Friday evening at 11pm you had had a dry nappy for 12hrs and you were admitted into PMH. The nurses tried to rehydrate you, despite us telling them that you would only bring it back up again. And you did. The doctors would say “Oh is he vomitting that much?’ ”Ah, yes” we would sa
