Journalling Reads:
A few weeks ago, I noticed that the herons had built nests in the trees in the park near our home. The nests were hidden from view in the parking lot by the evergreen trees, but I had caught a glimse of them from the road as we drove by. We went back with the camera and took the photos. There were a total of 5 nests, 3 in one tree, and 2 in another near by. The babies are growing quickly, and will soon fly away. The parents flew off before I could get them in the photos. I need a more powerful zoom lens on my camera, as I couldn't get close enough to the trees the birds were nesting in.
