Koty's BooBoo
Journaling reads:
4/2 Day 1 - Mommy noticed a sore on your foot.
I thought it was just a blister that had busted open
so I put a bandaid on it. Later that night I
noticed it was a little red so I cleaned it out and
put Neosporin and another bandaid on it.
4/3 Day 2 - Looking at your foot this morning
and was astonished at the change. Your foot was
all puffy and red. I immediately called the doctor
and got you an appointment. The doctor decided
it was probably an infection but might be a spider
bite. You got two shots and an oral antibiotic.
They drew a line around the redness so I could
monitor any change and told you to stay off your
foot and keep it propped up.
7/4 Day 3 - Your foot was worse today, but
the doctor said that it would get worse before it
got better. We went to Nana’s for the 4th
and you had to sit with your foot propped up,
so you couldn’t really play. You did get to
watch Daddy and Uncle Chris shoot off
fireworks.
7/5 Day 4 - Back to the doctor for a recheck.
She was very pleased with your progress. Still
waiting on the culture to come back We were
told to keep doing what we’re doing.
7/6 Day 5 - Amazingly enough, I think
this trial is about over. Almost no redness
and the swelling was gone. Preliminary culture
came back as a bacterial infection and not a
spider bite! THANK GOODNESS!
