Not just any third grader.
On a field trip to Stone Mountain we
all got a treat as Morgan was chosen
to represent our class in the Native
American barter lesson. Our whole
group became members of the
Cherokee tribe. Morgan was then
transformed into a tribe spokes-
person in full regalia. We had a bit
of a laugh as she was getting put
together, but once it was all done
she looked very regal. It was like
stepping back into another time and
meeting a descendant from these
proud folk.
