Kirby Hall
Journaling reads: "Whilst Daddy had lots of fun skidding round a race track, Mummy, Graeme and Katie went to Kirby Hall to explore. We were only expecting a small ruin but in fact English Heritage was restoring parts of the house and you could go inside too. But far more exciting were the peacocks - lots of them were in the grounds making lots of noise! We even discovered a peacock egg just lying in the grass. The enormous feathers made wonderful “swords” and Graeme & Katie had great fun “Fighting” like they did in the “olden days”!
