Today I decided to take a drive around my neighborhood to see what I could see. I’ve lived here for about 3 years, but I hadn’t really explored the many buildings that surrounded my area. We live close to the airport, so there are a lot of storage facilities and old railroad tracks sprinkled throughout a mostly industrial area. Turning a corner between a warehouse and an industrial plant I saw something odd.

There, on a railroad track that neither had a beginning nor end, was an old railroad sleeping car. It’s paint was chipping, some of the windows had been broken out and there was a KEEP OUT sign in one window. It was beautiful! It was the only railroad car within miles… but here it was begging me to photograph it.

Things change daily. Even if you’ve walked your neighborhood a thousand times, you will find if you look at it all with different eyes, you’ll see something you’ve never seen before.
