Toys… yours, theirs
When taking part in this challenge, keep in mind one thing…
Things that meant something to us will always bring back fond and happy memories if we stumble upon them in the future.
I can’t put into words the intense feelings I get when I see a Fisher Price Little People 1970’s parking garage as it brings back memories of me playing with that toy for hours and hours with my brother. Sometimes we are lucky and our parents put the toys aside and save them for when we are older (my in-laws did this with my husband Little People toys, which my daughter and son now enjoy playing with), but usually, the toy gets discarded or lost or forgotten, only to be remembered in the future and thought about with a whimsical emotion.
Document those toys. If your children have a favorite toy, pose it and take a special photo of it. I guarantee you that 20 years from now, when you pull out that photo and give it to your child, they are going to remember that toy and it will bring a smile to their face.
