This old house has an interesting story. My sweetie has lived in our tiny town all his life. When he was about 10 years old (almost 50 years ago!) he and a pal crawled under this house--abandoned then already--and found a leather pouch full of Confederate money. He said the bills were much larger than what we're familiar with today. That money is now on display at our local museum, but the boys' names were not listed as donors! He says the house looks now much as it did then, except the trees weren't so big! I asked what possessed them to crawl under the house and he said his pal saw a path under there made by an animal! lol Boys!
