Do you have a great childhood memory? I remember when Appleton had a thriving downtown with stores and restaurants.My mom would take my brother Dennis and me downtown on the bus. We would look at all the beautiful decorations hanging over the street and listen to Christmas music playing outside. The H.C. Prange store had the most incredible window displays with moving Christmas figures and falling snow. The store had a store for kids that we could buy all of our gifts for a great price. Santa sat in the Enchanted forest and would greet the kids and parents while they waited in line to enter the store.
