Turn of the Century
Journaling: Based upon Renoir’s painting, “Dance at Bougival”, J. Seward Johnson’s sculpture allows us to take a “turn” around the floor with the dancing couple. The detail he puts into his work extends even to the violet nosegay tossed to one side. This is part of the “Crossing Paths” public art exhibit on the campus of the University of Florida. 7-23-11
